Rehabilitating an old concrete wharf incorporating DuoGuard™ Hybrid Anode™ corrosion control system

The former Hmas Platypus submarine base precinct is to be rehabilitated and restored opening up a new public space for Sydney harbor and residents. The 216 m long steel reinforced concrete wharf structure is suffering from chloride attack and corrosion to the reinforcing steel, as part of the upgrade the spalling concrete patch repair areas will be rebuilt incorporating DuoGuard™ Hybrid Anode™ corrosion control system as a component of the repair process.  8000 DuoGuard™ Hybrid Anode™ are expected to be installed over the 6 month project duration.
